My dear husband

February 6th, 2007

Thank you for all the birthday notes! I felt loved and had a wonderful birthday. Last night our friends Dean and Charla kept our three kids in addition to their 4 younger ones, so that we could go out on the town. (They are so great! “What’s one more child?!!”) When we arrived at the restaurant, Eric had reserved a table with cheerful daises, some of my favorite flowers. We laughed because the entire restaurant was empty for most of our dinner! He said, “I promise I didn’t get the whole place to ourselves!” It was fabulous fine dining, and we enjoyed every bite. It’s funny when you have small children, your rare date nights consist of a lot of giddy giggling at the fact that you can hold hands for most of your meal and don’t have to give away all of your bread (haha). We had wonderful conversation and talked about how thankful we were to be able to go out and just celebrate how faithful God has been this last year, for this time last February we were still under much stress in our family and wondering what kind of picture God was going to make out of our future. We are so grateful for where (”where” in many ways) God has brought us in the last twelve months and excitedly anticipate the future.

Hey Kristi! I “knew” you were out on a nice birthday date with your hubby when I called and was left with only the option to serenade you over your answering machine yesterday evening. :) I’m so glad it was a great and fun date with your man! God is good! Love you,
    Tam
