HAPPY HAPPY DAY!

April 17th, 2007

Hello all of you faithful goodlikeamedicne readers. This is Kristi’s husband, Eric. I’m being sneaky here to let you all in on something very special, and I need your help. She doesn’t know I’m doing this, but I wanted to let you know that today is what is known in Kristi’s family as her “Happy Day.” You see, on this day 27 years ago my wonderful in-laws went to pick up their new, adopted baby girl who is now my wife of almost 5 years. What a glorious picture of the love of God they showed when they set their love and affection on a child who was not their own, but now is their daughter in every sense of the word. So, every April 17th we wish Kristi a Happy Happy Day in celebration of her being adopted into an amazing family.

I’ll be the first to wish my wife a Happy Happy Day! I’m so thankful for the way God used this event to bring us together to where we are now with 3 beautiful kiddos of our own. Now, I need your help in wishing her the same in the comments section.

I love you, babe!

    Not flesh of my flesh,
    Nor bone of my bone,
    But still miraculously
    My own.
    Never forget
    For a single minute,
    That you weren’t born
    Under my heart,
    But in it.

The author of the poem is unknown, but it is a poem that has been and will always be dear to your Daddy and me. Happy 27th Day to Smiley!
    I love you,
    Mama

kristi, Happy Happy Day. this is the first i have heard about it but it is such a great idea. if only so many people who are aborting their babies would realize what a good opportunity adoption is! so many people that really want babies can’t have them and would really treat these little ones as your parents did for you. God definitely had a plan for your life (as i know He does for us all) from conception on. its so amazing to see that plan unfold. and what a sweeet, precious husband to prepare this surprise for you. i love you!
