Scattered
Yeah, that’s how I feel at the moment. I have had so much traffic going through my brain lately, and I fear there is a slight bottleneck somewhere - haha. It’s “just a thing,” though, as my daddy always says. He and my mom are coming to visit us for Easter weekend, and I’m really excited. We haven’t had any family visit us in a while. (I’m also soooo excited that my sister, her husband, and baby are moving “back home” from TX for good, and we will be seeing them so much more now! Woooo!)
I really appreciate the encouraging emails in my inbox and comments everyone has left here regarding Shepherd. He is truly in the hands of God, and we are waiting and praying for his healthy development. We will have more tests in a week or so, and I’ll be sure to share what I know after those. It’s so amazing how something so important can seem to get shoved to the back burner in the hustle of everyday life, though. I really have been too busy too think about it too much.
I’ve been working on a few things lately, and I’ve got about four quilting projects I want to finish before Spring gets crazier. Eric has a lot going on at work, and I am wanting to keep things as restful as I can around here. I have several pages of thoughts I am pondering about “Loving Others,” too. I’m overwhelmed with so much junk in my heart and stuff I am reading and learning right now, though, and I believe God is telling me to quit being Martha, slow down and listen to him. You know?
I look forward to Easter. I don’t know about you, but I need the joyous balm of celebrating my Savior and all that He is in his radiance and power. I think the celebration is as much about praising Him as it is needing Him. Even more so than Christmas, I am anxious to see some “lights come on” in my children’s minds about this celebration, the Resurrection of Christ. If you are celebrating this Day, I hope you have a fabulous holiday with your family and brothers and sisters in Christ!

Hey Kristi! I am really looking forward to Easter this year, too. I know we are called to celebrate the cross every day, but there is something refreshing and particularly joyful about setting aside a specific time to reflect on the gospel and celebrate the foundation of our faith. I especially love Easter hymns.
