Palmetto Handmade

I am finally getting some of my crafts online after wanting to for many months. My main site with the online store, Palmetto Handmade, is still being designed, but I have a small Etsy Shop in the works now. I’m excited to list a few things that I’m making before Shepherd is born, nursing starts, home-school co-op begins, etc.!
No matter what I try to do with the little spare time I have on some nights, I find myself always wanting to create things with my hands. I look at all of the other Etsy sellers’ things and think, “Wow, mine isn’t nearly as good,” but I know I won’t get any better unless I just act on the ideas in my head. I do have some good ideas in my head.
I have a few things listed on Etsy and would love for you to take a look and spread the word to your friends about Palmetto Handmade, especially if you’re a “Palmetto Woman” and would like to join our growing group of sellers and add your creations to the store! Contact me for more details about that if you are interested.
I honestly don’t expect the sales to fly through the roof in the beginning, but who knows how it will grow in the future. My desire is for the things I sell to be quality, well-priced, and for my products to point to the glory of Jesus in all ways possible!

Hi … I’ve been enjoying reading through your posts since I came across your blog a month ago. As a Christian mother of three under 3, your thoughts are so relevant in my life. Just wanted to say that your etsy items are beautiful. Very practical and useful, not just cute for the sake of cuteness
I’m going to start saving my change …
Oh, thank you, Andrea! I’m glad you like them. I am so timid about listing my things on there because there is so much fantastic stuff. Thank you!
Three under three is a wild ride, isn’t it?!
I was watching mine play in the back yard today from the kitchen window, thinking of how beautiful it is to see them playing together so much. I love that part of them being so close in age. Then, all of a sudden, I saw my oldest jump into the water table (full of dirty rainwater) and the other two following suit… my June Cleaver fantasy world immediately evaporated! haha!
Thanks for stopping by!
Very pretty things!!
Such adorable things. I absolutely love the verse purse! Such a neat idea! Did you use a pattern for these or did you create from that creative brain of yours? I would love to know how to make these, as they would make lovely gifts (if you didn’t mind sharing).
Oh, I am so glad that someone is blogging and I have something to read! I am so far behind I don’t think I will ever catch up!
You can’t make them, Ashlee - you have to buy them from me!!!
ha - kidding! Patterns terrify me for some reason; I just made 3 or 4 before I figured out how wide and tall they needed to be. I can email you the measurements and instructions. Also, I just got a 1000 pack of plain business cards for inkjet printing at Office Depot last week on a huge sale; they were very cheap, and I love how they turned out!
I agree with Andrea, I love your etsy creations!!
Kristi, I tagged you over at my blog.
Come have a look!!
LOVE your Palmetto Handmade logo…I live in Lexington SC so I think it’s fabulous
I love your goodies…I used that same froggy fabric/dots to make beanbags for my 4 year old’s frog birthday party…it’s just so cute! I hope your business is a blessing!
Awesome!!! When I finally get a hold on my crafting ADD and pick one thing to hone in on, or make enough of something to open an online store, you will have to design my graphic! I was telling Ellen, I always wanted to sew little dresses or something along those lines and call it “Hannah Banana” (for Hannah). Then Emily suggested making Madeline more blankies, and I thought “ooh that could be called ‘Baby Madeline.’” Then there was my grand designs for my cake business. Glad I am not the only crafting, shop owning aspiring dork out there! haha.
Your creations are beautiful!
Hi, Kristi. I’m a friend of Lori’s and I’ve commented here before. Sometimes I wander over just to see what you’ve written about. I noticed that you opened an Etsy store. Everything looks wonderful and I love the memory verse holders. That’s some small detail work! I’ve been working on getting some things ready to open my own store on Etsy (pouches, wallets, aprons, etc) but I still have some questions about how it works. Would you be willing to answer a couple of my questions? I can leave them in the comments or email them to you. I know you are busy with preparing for your fourth child, so I wouldn’t hound you with tons of questions. I just have a couple. If you are too busy, I completely understand!
I stand amazed at all that you are willing to create with your new website Palmetto Handmade! You are so talented and are my idol of time management to be able to even think of the ideas, much less actually sew them together and ship them to people to order. It makes me wonder what in the world I do with my time and only 1 child??? ha!!! You may have a new customer here in the next few monther! Looks great and glad to hear that you all had a nice vacation at the beach and some time to relax.
Oh Ann, don’t be fooled!!!
Thanks for the sweet comment, though!
