Good Like a Medicine

Yes, you read that right, but it’s really not my birthday. It’s my husband’s. But I feel like it’s my birthday because he is my gift. I grow more and more in awe of how gracious God has been to give Eric to me, and despite the fact that we’ve only been married less than a decade, I know that I am tremendously blessed and we have such a wonderful treasure that God has given us!

Today is his big 3-0. I pray that he will have such a wonderful day. I confess that I’ve prayed, “God, please make our son come out on Eric’s birthday,” too, several times! But we are Bible-believing Christians, and that means we can ask but we trust God knows the times and exact plans for every moment - only He knows if this will happen! Regardless I know this will be a special day, and I hope he is surrounded by joy and love!
